The economic and political reasons for the martyrdom of Imam Ali
And the biggest role is for corruption whales and traitors to the Islamic State
.. Researcher: Haider Abdul-Jabbar Al-Battat
It would have been a great opportunity for humanity to live a different reality, had the men of the first Islamic era adhered to their covenant in Ghadir Khumm, which all Muslims agree upon, but events accelerated madly with the departure of the last messenger. (May God bless him and grant him peace), to produce a hybrid system of government, with the behavior of the ancients and the Islamic dress, was the first step to deviate from the goal of the greatest Messenger in establishing a just state on earth.
The voice of the tribe and the lords rose, and the sword became the ruler, and the whales of corruption became dominant, and the Jews returned to penetrate the joints of the state, to hasten to distort what they had reached, so that the result is before us in our present. The era of Wahhabism, al-Qaeda and ISIS teams.
The main factors that caused the death of Imam Ali (AS)
The first factor: the strength of the tribes at the expense of the weakness of the state
After the second caliph came to power, he embarked on a broader process of wars, namely the wars of expansion, through which great material gains were achieved, which made the tribes more influential, because wars bring material returns (spoils), but during the reign of the third caliph, the military movement stagnated This made the tribes resent the third caliph, in addition to resentment of his policies and the tyranny of his rulers in the regions, which led to the shaking of the positions of the tribes, to the consolidation of a new reality in which the tribes become partners in politics and aspire to participate in governance, and are ready to defend their rights by force, so the revolution is against the third driven by tribal forces.
Therefore, when the caliphate reached Imam Ali, the state was on the verge of collapse, between the tribes that found a place for themselves in governance, and the tyrannical governors who tightened their grip on cities such as Muawiyah, and his control over the Levant, so the process took place. The unification of the state was difficult, especially since the tribes found an outlet in internal wars.
And this is one of the most important reasons for the killing of Imam Ali, the interference and influence of the Arab tribes.
The second factor: Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan and falsehood
When Imam Ali tried to unite the nation and restore the soul to the state, Muawiyah moved against Imam Ali, so he had a great role in igniting the camel war, the great role in the Siffin war, and his great push for the Nahrawan war. Then deliberately raising panic through death squads that attack the outskirts of Iraq and kill Hijaz whoever it finds and burn and loot similar to the attacks of ISIS in our time, in order to stir up the anger of the masses against Imam Ali, and in order to weaken the state, and therefore the Kharijite group was the product of Umayyad deception, as it is The Umayyad tool that planned the assassination of Imam Ali.
The third factor: the hidden role of the Jews
Since the era of the first and second caliphs, the Jewish infiltration of the body of the young state occurred, when some of the most dangerous Jewish personalities entered Islam, to get close to the new ruling elite, to have an interest and opinion on various issues, from hadith, narration, jurisprudence, history and topics of politics and society,
And the Jews sought to fight Imam Ali, considering that they had taken revenge on Khaybar from Imam Ali, and they knew that he was the true guardian of the last Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, so they devoted their efforts to fighting the nation, and distorting the message. And the war against Imam Ali, and they succeeded because the authority opened the door wide
The fourth factor: corruption and political mistakes in the administration of the state
The rule was like the rule of tyrannical countries with power, money and influence, so the sword was the most prominent tool used by the new rulers, under the title of jihad, and the truth is expansion and collecting spoils, as it was imposed on the neighboring countries of the Islamic state, either by war or by paying tribute, and this continued until the year 35 AH, Then there appeared a bourgeoisie, rulers, rulers, tyrants, and owners of fearsome capital, as they could prepare armies for war. This class would certainly defend its gains.
On the other hand, there is a large class of poor people who hardly find their daily sustenance, and this is due to the unjust policies of the government, with higher quotas than the enemies of the Messenger.
And the likes of Muawiya, Al-Walid and Ibn Al-Aas, the results of the policies were disastrous for the nation, which became an inherited approach, which is the main reason for the assassination of Imam Ali.
The fifth factor: the whales of corruption
The Quraysh feared for their wealth, and feared for their influence and prestige, because they knew the imam, and knew his plans aimed at establishing truth and justice, and destroying unlawful privileges, and that he would treat them like the rest of the people.
The Quraysh tribes were terrified and astonished because they were sure that the imam would confiscate the money that Uthman had unjustly given them.
Amr ibn al-Aas wrote a letter to Muawiya stating that
(If you are a craftsman, then do if Ibn Abi Talib peels you from all the money you own while you peel from a stick of beards).
Envy gnawed at the souls of the Quraysh, and hatred gnawed at their consciences, so they rushed to declare disobedience and rebellion against the imam’s government.
The sixth factor: Imam Ali (may God bless him and grant him peace) confiscates fiefdoms and returns the looted funds to the treasury.
Imam Ali confiscated all the unjustly granted fiefdoms and the land of Iraq was open to him. It is the property of all Muslims who were born in it and after them, and it is not permissible to own or sell it, just as looted money was confiscated.
Muawiyah extended bridges of communication with the owners of confiscated fiefdoms in Iraq, most of whom are from the Umayyads or from the supporters of the Umayyads, and who constitute a great force in the army of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) to work together in order to kill Imam Ali
The seventh factor: Imam Ali (may God bless him and grant him peace) minted an Arab currency in an Islamic manner
Muslims dealt with dirhams and Byzantine and Persian dinars, and zakat was imposed on these coins, which did not undergo any modification either in the artistic form or in the content of the writings. These coins continued to be used without any additions until Imam Ali ordered the striking and minting of the Islamic Arab dirham.
This constitutes a danger and threat to the national economy of the Byzantine and Persian states
Therefore, the Romans moved secretly through their agents to recruit traitors, mercenaries, and those who wanted to sell their religion to earn money… to hasten to get rid of Imam Ali, who became a threat to their economy and the most important factor of strength, which is the dirham and the dinar.
Therefore, move to support the number one enemy of Imam Ali and the groups that tamper with religion and all noble principles and values for the sake of their personal interests.
The eighth factor: Qattam and the marriage jihad
She is a beautiful woman whose father and brother were killed in Nahrawan, and one of the most haters of Imam Ali
They recruited her, and arranged a meeting for her with Abd al-Rahman ibn Malajim, and she represented Abd al-Rahman ibn Malajim’s lover, and he fell in love with her.
She took advantage of her physical charm to sharpen his resolve and push him to implement what was agreed upon with his comrades without hesitation and encourage him by recruiting two assistants for him, namely Wardan and Shabib bin Bajra.
Here all the forces of evil converged, mafias of corruption, intellectual and moral immorality, debauchery, immorality, and treachery, to get rid of a great man whom God Almighty honored.
He was the second man after the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, the master of creation and the beloved of the Most Merciful.
